In the last couple of weeks, three students, two who have taken a few Advanced Screenwriting Workshops of mine and the other who has done that and been in my Master Class on Screenwriting at UCLA Extension’s Writer Program, have done great in screenwriting competitions.

One past student won first prize and cash for his script, another moved in to the second round at Sundance and the other is a semi-finalist in Nicholls.

In a business where there’s nowhere near enough positive reinforcement, it’s a pleasure to see success come to these writers.
