I’M BEGINNING TO UNDERSTAND

It was the World Premiere tonight. Sold out again. Tomorrow night as well.

Lots of press, lots of excitement.

The creative team met into the night after the preview performance last night and we made some tweaks…in the staging, the projections, the sight lines, one new line, really fine tuning.

Each of the tweaks brought the play closer to being fully realized.

The actors, John, Heather and Ray, are evolving their performances, going deeper, nuancing.

Stage Manager Kate Foster is perfecting her valuable organization of the production.

Kevin Comartin, our Tech Director, is upping his game as he locks in his projections and music cues.

And Producer Stevie Stern Lazarus seamlessly led the troops into battle.

What a gift to be able to polish this play to a finer, more perfected sheen.

I’m beginning to understand.
